Abe Halperin School has a modern preschool facility to accommodate learners (toddlers) from six (6) months onwards. School management therefore recommends that all children are enrolled starting from the creche, progressing to Nursery, Kindergarten, Primary School and to Junior High (by the age of 14), they would have been adequately prepared for the BECE and to enter into Senior High School/NVTI/SHTS with ease.

It is interesting to note that all Pre-school classrooms are well ventilated, specially set up to create a happy and safe environment for the child to unfold their abilities. We have friendly class environment with not more than 35 toddlers per class, with a facilitator and one or two teaching assistants. This enables the child interact with the materials available and access to the guidance. There is an infant activity centre in the same department where all learners visit.  The Kindergarten accept learners from age 4 to 5 onwards. Every aspect of learning and reading of learners is monitored progressively once they enter the Kindergarten classes. There CCTV  cameras in the classrooms which help with surveillance.

The Pre-school department adheres to GES Curriculum blended with both modern international Montessori and Jolly-phonics modules which give our learners an advantage. The curriculum areas for the KG are:

  • Language Art
  • Numeracy (Mathematics)
  • Our World Our People (OWOP).
  • Art and Creativity.
  • French.
